For the FLC Marine Vessel Management team, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Vessel Technical Superintendent to support the installation vessels working in the Fehmarn Belt between Denmark and Germany.

Who is FLC?

Femern Link Contractors, FLC, is the joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the Northern Europe’s biggest construction project resulting in the longest immersed tunnel in the world. Our joint venture consists of nine international construction companies with individual experience in large infrastructure projects. Together, we are committed to working together to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals, and ramps, delivered on time and safely, in a sustainable and ethical manner.

The Vessel Technical Superintendent organises the technical management of FLC owned vessels deployed on our project. Candidates must possess solid experience in technical vessel management in offshore/marine contracting or the oil & gas industry. The role requires interaction with Flag state and Classification bodies, overseeing planned maintenance systems (PMS), Managing daily interface with Operations departments and managing dockings and repairs afloat.

Main responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Manage technical readiness of vessels deployed on the project.

  • Liaise with Flagstate authorities and Classification societies to ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Oversee planned maintenance systems (PMS) to ensure optimal vessel performance.

  • Support and guide crew on procedure conformities and planned / corrective maintenance.

  • Manage daily interface with Operations teams

  • Procurement duties, supported by procurement department

  • Coordinate dockings and repairs afloat to maintain vessel integrity and functionality.

  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams as needed.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Proven recent experience as a Technical Superintendent in offshore/marine contracting or the oil & gas industry.

  • Familiarity with Flagstate and Classification society interface.

  • Proficiency in planned maintenance systems (PMS).

  • Experience with dockings and repairs afloat.

  • Preferred experience in heavy lift-systems, dredging/winch systems, and mobilizations or conversions.

  • Knowledge of the maritime market in North-West Europe.

  • Candidates must be prepared to work full-time onshore in Denmark for the project duration.
