About FLC:

At Femern Link Contractors (FLC), we are responsible for designing and constructing the immersed tunnel, portals and ramps on both ends of the tunnel, in Rødbyhavn and Puttgarden.

We are also building the facilities for prefabricating tunnel elements as well as accommodation facilities, also known as the “Tunnel village” in Rødbyhavn, which provides housing for FLC workers.

About the department:

FLC is looking for a Senior Lean Process Engineer to join our continuous improvement efforts and optimize our production processes. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of construction and industrial engineering, shaping scalable processes that enhance efficiency, quality and collaboration. You will act as a hands-on change agent, ensuring that Industrial thinking becomes an integral part of daily operations and project delivery.

The main tasks include analyzing and improving our production processes, reducing waste across the value chain and eliminate inefficiencies by using Industrial methods. You should bring an Industrial Mindset, an understanding of key Lean principles, a high motivation to work directly on the shopfloor and extensive work experience in the field of Industrial Production/Construction or Lean Management.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementation of improvement projects across our entire value chain in a close collaboration with other departments and experienced colleagues

  • Take a lead in improving material and logistics flows, design efficient processes and support the creation of optimized workplaces

  • Introduce and establish Industrial Best Practices, bringing a production mindset into project execution - act as a key driver in embedding a culture and behaviours throughout the company

  • Support and train project teams in the application of Industrial methods, Lean tools and standards

  • Establish and monitor performance management frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms

  • Take the “challenger” role by reviewing existing processes and questioning KPI in the different divisions to identify, remove and resolve constraints and inefficiencies

  • Facilitate workshops to promote continuous improvement and organizational learning within the whole organization

Qualifications:

  • Degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business management or a related field

  • Minimum 8+ years of work experience in Lean Process Engineering within the construction or manufacturing industry

  • A proactive, hands-on mindset for optimizing construction processes with strong organizational skills

  • Fluent in English - speaking and writing

  • Proven track record in implementing Industrial Methods preferably also in a Takt Production

  • Motivation to constantly develop and add new Industrial Best Practice – adapted for FLC

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Analytical thinking, a willingness to learn and teamwork are key to developing and implementing solutions within interdisciplinary improvement teams
