We are seeking a Site engineer Automation who will be responsible for safeguarding the operational use and improvement of the temporary systems inside both standard and special tunnel elements.
Who is FLC?
Femern Link Contractors (FLC) is a dynamic joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the world's longest immersed tunnel and the longest tunnel for both road and rail traffic. Our joint venture consists of nine internationally renowned construction companies, each bringing valuable experience in large infrastructure projects.
The TE systems are part of the scope of the Marine team as temporary measures to facilitate the immersion of the elements.
Job tasks:
To be able to float up, move and immerse the Tunnel Elements, the elements require temporary installations. These installations ensure that the elements float, stay balanced, immerse and can connect to the preceding element. The Site engineer Automation will use the information available in the logged data and the available experience to evaluate and adjust the performance protocols in the system continuously. There will be interface with the Marine systems engineer, Supervisor Electrical System & Testing, Site engineer Monitoring & Alarm handling, Electrical engineers and the subcontractor for electrical installations. Furthermore, you will:
- Create a testing protocol for all installations.
- Join commissioning of the standard and special tunnel elements
- Adapt system changes according to new insights.
- Provide automation report to Survey.
- Responsible for adjusting control systems, and coordinates changes.
Personal skills and experience:
- Fascinated by technics and wants to understand how things work.
- Analytical thinker and a fast learner, able to comprehend, design and improve systems.
- Strong communication skills, necessary for project development with internal clients and contractors.
- Problem solver who is not afraid of the many challenges you encounter during the project.
- Willing to work in shifts and at irregular hours
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is a requirement.
